New year, new goals, new music!

Well it's been a while since I put in a blog entry - hope everyone has had a good start to the new year. I've been in Scotland recovering from surgery to fix a problem with my heart that I was born with. Thankfully the surgery went well and with the help of nice doctors, nurses, family and friends I'm now on the mend and aiming to return to London in February to continue playing drums! Having time out has come at a strange time - I was really enjoying things in London and was getting to play lots of varied music with cool people.. It was pretty much ideal! Yesterday I was due to play two gigs at The Vortex jazz club which is one of my favourite venues - with my jazz orchestra in the afternoon and another band in the evening. So I'm trying to keep things positive and have been using this time out to relax, write new music and to plan ahead. There are a few things that I'm excited about in the pipeline for when I get back to London.. For now the plan is to keep writing music as I'm hoping it will come in handy soon!
