CarolineS_drums Day 23

Today has been a bit of a blur. I finished charting out 3 original tunes that I’ve written for Cygnus Flare - we’re gigging them tomorrow and I’ve written out charts for each band member so that we’re all clear on the melodies, which chords to solo over and overall structures. We had a gig recently where our bassist couldn’t make it and someone else filled in at very short notice, so having these ready if needed might be useful one day. It’s pretty crazy how long it can take to get the software to write the chart the way you want it - think my eyes went square for a little while. I've written a big band tune on Logic that I've been excited to try out with my big band MO Jazz Orchestra for about a year, but the thought of charting out the 17 individual parts keeps putting me off!
